September Foreclosures Triple

September foreclosures triple previous year's total. Default Research, a provider of pre-foreclosure real estate data in the Phoenix-Tucson area, is reporting that foreclosure activity from September 2007 to September 2008 jumped 305 percent.
Foreclosures in Maricopa County increased 324.45 percent and in Pima 166.9 percent from the same month a year ago. In Maricopa County the hardest-hit cities were Phoenix (2,608), Mesa (684), Glendale (506), Surprise (335) and Gilbert (317). The hardest-hit cities in Pima County were Tucson (418), Vail (19), Marana (18), Sahuarita (13), and Oro Valley (six). Article by Ed Taylor 10/17/08 Arizona Tribune
